Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about learning Arabic and Quran with Souhba Academy. Still have questions? We're one message away.
Send us a message and we'll arrange a free 30-minute trial lesson at a time that suits you. Tell us what you want to learn, and meet your tutor. No payment, no pressure, no commitment. After the trial, you'll know exactly what your learning path looks like and whether Souhba is right for you.
Your tutor will ask about your goals, your experience level, and what motivates you to learn Arabic or Quran. Then they'll do a brief, relaxed assessment — nothing stressful, just a conversation. By the end of 30 minutes, you'll have a clear picture of where you are, where you're headed, and how your tutor plans to get you there. You'll leave knowing exactly what to expect — no surprises.
Monthly plans start at $60/month for a weekly lesson, up to $156/month for the intensive plan — same price whichever course you choose. Small-group Learning Circles start at $32/month per student. Every price is on our pricing page, and your first lesson is free. Families get a discount when more than one member joins.
Souhba is a school rather than a tutor marketplace. We focus on continuity: your tutor gets to know your goals, pace, and progress and stays with you as your learning develops. You're not booking random lessons, you're building a relationship with someone who genuinely invests in your growth.
Absolutely. Your tutor will meet you exactly where you are — whether you've never seen an Arabic letter or you're refining advanced skills. Several of our courses are built specifically for beginners, and your trial starts by finding out where you actually are. There's no wrong starting point.
Let us know and we'll match you with a different tutor at no extra cost. If the relationship doesn't feel right, we'll find one that does. Most students build strong bonds with their tutor, but we understand that a good fit is important.
Lessons are 60 minutes by default, though it depends on the course. For example, the children's program runs shorter, while courses like Classical Arabic and Arabic through Cinema run longer. If you prefer a custom length like 30, 45, or 90 minutes, just ask. Each course page lists its own standard session length.
Many learners prefer a regular weekly rhythm, often two or three sessions. Your tutor can help you choose a schedule that fits your goals and availability. Even one session a week is a great start — what matters most is showing up regularly.
We use Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype — whichever you're most comfortable with. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone, and you're ready to go.
Yes. We provide certificates of completion for our programs.
Absolutely. Our Arabic for Kids program is designed for younger learners, with age-appropriate lessons, patient tutors, and shorter sessions. Lessons incorporate stories, games, and gentle conversation. Tell us your child's age and goals, and we'll help you decide whether it's a good fit.
Completely free — no credit card, no commitment, no strings attached. The 30 minutes are yours to meet your tutor and see your path before you decide anything.
