Over 8,000 lessons and five years of teaching, I've worked with travelers preparing for their first trip to Cairo, heritage learners reconnecting with grandparents' language, professionals building relationships across the Arab world, and students who simply fell in love with the sound of Arabic.\n\nThere's a student I remember — a retiree from Ohio who told me in our first session, "I'm too old to learn a language."
